Okay, I've got my eye on a good looking Ford Fiesta Mk 1 XR2... (In my defense, I learnt to drive in a Mk 1 FF..)

What's your guilty pleasure? Going to take the plunge? To much 'Car SOS' and 'Wheeler Dealers' in lock down?

Correction: 2.2 Vtec

Nice bit of nostalgia reading this thread and bringing back memories of owning that car.

This Youtube vid summed it up pretty accurately.

Had a Honda Prelude 2.0 4WS model about 15 years ago. Favourite car ever - was rapid, cornered like it was on rail, and just a pleasure to drive.

If was going to buy an old car, think Id revisit one of them!

Escort Mexico are dog shit slow, less than 100bhp.

Anway. I’ve always wanted a Smokey and the bandit Trans Am.

200bhp and single figure fuel consumption. Can’t justify buying it.

Triumph Stag, cunt of an engine, but a fine looking car.

Sadly a huge fuck up by Leyland, design and concept way ahead of its time, the execution and choice of engine turned it into a lemon, they should have used the Rover 3.5.

I’m a bit with Sold0 on this. Find it hard to get excited about a lot of cars, especially a BMW whateverseriesofnumbers. Are people just after the badge?

I'm more of an Aston Martin DB 2/4 mark iii 1959 myself.

First Aston with twin pipes out the back either side and modern grill.

I had a 1.6s capri Mk III in blue... lost it driving hoime from a game of cricket in the rain... I must of done about 3 totals 360's going down the road before clipping a curb... sommersaulting in the air and taking out a garden gate post and wall... snapped seat belt and head crashed through window... oh and the blokes wall I hit his son came out and tried to smash my teeth in... few days in hospital but the lucky thing was

a. I never hit a pedistrian
b. My missus was not in the car at the time (she used to come to cricket quite a bit with us) as the impact took in the whole of the passenger side of the car. She would have been mangled.
c. The old bill worked out I was not speeding it was caused by a. crap road conditions and b. a shit handling car

Capri's are death traps
